There is enough of a three-way vote split here to keep the Liberal in power. Unless all the opposition vote goes to one party.

Phinney's what passes for a weak link among Hamilton Grits. But in spite of the Mountain's NDP past provincially and (via Ian Deans) federally, this is where Hamilton's increasingly less NDP-conducive suburban sprawl's taking place. Indeed, the Alliance has got just as strong a chance if not more of one. But as a morale-booster, at least there's a Grit MPP (Marie Bountrogianni) on the Mountain for the first time in an eternity...
